Doctors & Staff

Dr. Todd Phillips is a local boy, graduating in the mid-eighties from Princeton High School. He attended Morehead State University for his undergraduate education, and is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Phillips has been at Eastgate Animal Hospital since 1996. His concern for animals is famous, even in the middle of the night. His special interests are in pain management and diseases of old age. He is a past president of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Phillips lives in the Cincinnati area with his wife, Stephanie, and their four children, two rescued Labrador Retrievers, and one cat.










Dr. Stacey Frick is a 1999 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is a recipient of awards for small animal anesthesia and has lectured on topics at the local and state levels as well as internationally. Dr. Frick is a past president of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Since joining Eastgate Animal Hospital in 2002, Dr. Frick has been thankful to have developed such great relationships with the wonderful clients and patients of the hospital. Dr. Frick is also fortunate to have many surrounding veterinarians refer surgical cases to him for advanced procedures such as abdominal and orthopedic surgeries. Dr. Frick is passionate about client communication and patient pain management. When not caring for patients in the hospital, Dr. Frick  and his wife, Lori, enjoy traveling and spending time with their rescued Chihuahua, Stevie.

Dr. Gretchen Goode is a 2007 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She was the Vice President of her graduating class and was active in the Veterinary Business Management Association. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Northern University in 2003. She is originally from Mason and currently lives in Milford with her husband, Robert, and her three cats, Mini, iPod, and Hazelnut, and her cornsnake, Lily. She is the current president of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. 








Dr. Jennifer Groszek is the newest doctor to join our practice. She received her Bachelor of Science in biology from Xavier University in 2005 and is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include internal medicine and geriatric care. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and watching Cubs baseball. The two newest members of her family are a pet rabbit named Lindsay and a cat named Beyonce. She is originally from West Chester, Ohio and is extremely excited to be back in the Cincinnati area. Dr. Groszek is a member of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. 






Holly Molony, Office Manager 
Holly joined the Eastgate Animal Hospital as the Office Manager in 2011.   She oversees office operations, employee training, client relations, and communications/marketing.   Prior to joining the Eastgate Animal Hospital, she served in senior management roles with nonprofit organizations in Cincinnati and Washington, D.C.  She and her husband have three dogs who are currently occupying the couch.       



 







Cathie Kannineberg, Boarding Manager
Cathie was born and raised in Cincinnati and currently resides in Anderson Township. She has been married to her husband, Mike, for 39 years. They have two children, a son and a daughter, and four grandchildren. Cathie has been in the animal care business for over twenty years. She has been the kennel manager at Eastgate Animal Hospital for ten years and oversees all aspects of boarding operations. Outside of work, Cathie enjoys caring for her grandchildren, clogging, reading, and scrap-booking. 











Jayne Dunham, Daycare
Known as "Aunt Jayne" in daycare, Jayne was born and raised on the West side of town but moved to the East side 12 years ago. She is married with three children, four grandchildren, and three labs - her four-legged children. She started working at Eastgate Animal Hospital 8 years ago to be around dogs more, including her own. Working at Eastgate is a dream come true for her. During her time away from work, Jayne sees her grandkids nearly every day and takes care of her dogs. In between her busy schedule, she spends time with her husband who travels during the week. Jayne looks forward to many more years at Eastgate Animal Hospital. 







Sherry Thurman, Grooming
Our award winning groomer, Sherry, has been grooming animals for over 13 years. She is experienced with all different breeds of dogs, cats, and rabbits. Sherry is very passionate about the work she performs, and takes pride in educating clients about their furry loved ones. She and her husband, Chris, work as a team and Chris himself has 6 years of experience grooming. They own three dogs, Kadie Ann, a cocker spaniel, Maribelle, a standard poodle, and Lucy, a miniature schnauzer. In their time away from work, they both enjoy spending time with their son.
